Computer Simulation Analysis

We have always been on the forefront of utilizing Computer Simulation Analysis for the development and assessment of airbags, seat-belts, and occupant safety systems integration. [ Out-of-Position airbag deployment analysis ] Simulation analysis provides an assessment of the performance of the restraint system in off-axis accidents for which test results don't exist. Occupant scaling techniques have been used to assess the performance of the restraint system for occupants with height and weight not represented by crash dummies. Does the performance of an airbag change significantly if one of the tethers fails during deployment? Does a larger passenger airbag door pose a greater risk of injury than a smaller one? Computer Simulation Analysis can provide the answer and visualize the difference. We have experience with all major simulation analysis codes which has allowed us to provide contra-expertise of simulation analysis, presented as evidence in litigation.

Interpretation of Safety Legislation

The NHTSA is actively developing new safety legislation. While the Advanced Airbag Rule has completed its phase in, additional legislation for Side Impact protection and Roll-Over has been introduced. Certification options, phase-in, requirements ... , it is not difficult to lose track. Meanwhile the IIHS is looking to enhance occupant safety with new test modes. Linux clusters are the most efficient solution to provide performance for the CAE engineers, ever hungry for more.
We have extensive experience with the setup and management of Linux Clusters for High Performance Computing. Integrating such a cluster into the existing corporate infrastructure can be tough. Job scheduling, Linux-Windows integration, and cluster management are issues we have delt with more than once.
Having managed web, mail and database servers for 20 years has made us knowledgeable about systems security, too. We learned about the Chinese provinces by blocking their networks one by one at the firewall.
